The Solar Option Group is a team of volunteers who support a solar energy solution to save Lake Chad. Many members of the Solar Option Group have spent years working in Africa in the Lake Chad Basin area. The Solar Option Group is not a corporation or a registered NGO.
The Solar Option Group arose from a network of people who mainly served in Niger in the US Peace Corps. Many in this extended network have donated money to support our efforts to Save Lake Chad, including funding the production of the Solar Option Video and this web site.
